STRATHMORE UNIVERSITY

Strathmore University is a Chartered University located in Nairobi, Kenya. It was the first multiracial and multi religious educational institution in English speaking Eastern Africa and more recently the first institute of higher learning to be ISO certified in East and Central Africa in 2004. Our mission is to provide all-round quality education in an atmosphere of freedom and responsibility; excellence in teaching, research and scholarship; ethical and social development; and service to society.

uNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI

University of Helsinki is the main coordinator of the TOTEMK project. University of Helsinki is Finland’s largest and oldest academic institution. Since 1640, it has contributed to the establishment of a fair and equal society that is considered the best in the world according to a number of indicators. Today, this multidisciplinary academic community solves problems that concern all of us, also on the global scale. A community of 40,000 students and employees is diversely open, comprehensively quality conscious and joyfully serious. Internationalisation means many things for us.

University of Helsinki has launched an Africa Program in autumn 2020 where TOTEMK has a significant role.

UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI

The only institution of higher learning in Kenya for a long time, the University of Nairobi responded to the national regional and Africa’s high level manpower training needs by developing and evolving strong, diversified academic programmes and specializations in sciences, applied sciences, technology, humanities, social sciences and the arts. To date, the range of programmes offered number approximately two hundred The university is proud of its distinguished record of achievements in teaching, research, development and consultancy while strategizing for a greater future as the center of academic, research and professional excellence.

Laurea University of Applied Sciences

Laurea University of Applied Sciences is a higher education institution that operates on six campuses in the Uusimaa region. People and interaction are at the core of our operations.

At Laurea, studies, RDI activities and regional development are carried out in cooperation with different participants, including a variety of social actors, sectors and international partners. Cooperation is based on equality, with everyone being able to produce new knowledge and understanding.

Learning and practical work go hand in hand at Laurea. Real-world assignments, such as projects and development work, are a key element in all our fields of study. During their studies, Laurea’s students get numerous opportunities to build their future jointly with potential employers.

PWANI UNIVERSITY

Pwani University has evolved from an Agricultural College offering only Certificate and Diploma Programmes. The University was established initially as a Constituent College of Kenyatta University through a Gazette Order issued on 23rdAugust, 2007, with mandate to, “provide quality education, training, research and innovation for the advancement of the individual and society”. The Institution made major strides in putting in place the required infrastructure to mount quality degree programmes, and was granted Charter on 31st January 2013.The University is strategically located in Kilifi Town in the Coastal Region of Kenya, and is one of the three universities in the region.

Currently, the University has enrolled over 7000 degree students pursuing programmes in Agriculture, Fisheries, Arts, Business Studies, Education, Environmental Sciences, Health & Human Sciences, Humanities, Hospitality & Tourism and Pure & Applied Sciences; offered in seven (7) Schools (Agricultural Sciences & Agribusiness; Business & Economics; Education; Environmental & Earth Sciences; Health & Human Sciences; Humanities & Social Sciences; Pure and Applied Sciences.
